Autres informations
The implementation of the Cartagena Protocol has a big challenge for Kiribati considering the fact that there is no national capacity to deal with the LMOs/GMOs. Additionally, funding is also another challenge because Kiribati is a small country with limited resources and to do the activities to implement this protocol its need the funding to roll on its activity. Not only that but our capacity building is lacking and needs funding for doing relevant capacity building on determining/identifying LMOs/GMOs Foods, Feeds, and Products. Kiribati is one of the most vulnerable country from climate change that highly depends on foreign aid and trade for local consumptions.
